Veterinary Nurse

Due to continued growth our fiercely independent, progressive, six centre mixed practice on the quiet western edge of the Lake District seeks a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly team.

We are a proud XLVets practice, recent winners of XLVet's "Inspirational Teams", and have a busy and varied caseload of small animal medicine and surgery.

The beautiful Lake District National Park is on our doorstep and presents a wealth of opportunities for wild campers, walkers, horse riders, kayakers, runners, mountaineers, climbers, paragliders, wild swimmers, and even skiers.

The Details

• A full time position is a 38 hour week worked over 4 days. Alternative working patterns can be considered.
• Salary of £27k - £35k pro rata, depending on experience and role undertaken
• Branch location subject to discussion at interview
• Possession of a full driving license is essential

Weekends and On Call

We are proud to do our own on call and inpatient care, and OOH is shared between the whole team.

Our current OOH rota is as follows:

• There is an RVN in the surgery until 10.30pm
• Full Saturday and Sunday shift currently every 8 weeks
• 1 weeknight on call every 4 weeks
• 3 Saturday only shifts a year

Luckily our large team means we can be flexible with weekend work if you have other commitments.
