Laboratory Assistant & Customer ServiceThis is a blended role encompassing both the delivery of exceptional customer care to current and new clients as well as receipt, preparation and recording of laboratory tests.In this role you will be part of our veterinary diagnostic laboratory providing diagnostic services in Haematology, Clinical Chemistry, Microbiology, Cytology, and Molecular Biology.Working collaboratively, we have a strong focus on personal customer care, quality, and innovation for our veterinary clients and their patients.

• Provide information about new and existing testing and services to customers.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients dealing with any questions and queries, escalating any as required.
• Maintaining an accurate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database by entering and updating client information.
• Receive biological samples from customers and preparing them for testing.
• Recording results and data into the management system and managing supporting documentation.
• Distribute supplies to our customers, along with supporting them with sample concerns or questions received.
• Sorting and distributing incoming and outgoing deliveries and performing other general tasks within the unit.
• Participate in maintaining the Quality Standards within the department alongside audits as required.

• Experience of working in a customer-facing environment.
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
• Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
• Strong attention to detail
• Resilience to work under pressure in a busy environment.
• A focus on working collaboratively as part of a wider team.
• Ability to work flexibly across a working pattern with alternating Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, shifts starting from 6am.
