Job Description

Veterinary Surgeon (General Practice) 4-Day Week Tier 3 Hospital Leeds Area Up to £60K DOE

We're working on behalf of a highly regarded Tier 3 hospital in West Yorkshire to recruit a dedicated GP Vet to join their team. If you're looking for a varied caseload, clinical autonomy, and an excellent rota, this could be the role for you.

The Role

  • 4-day week with 1-in-4 weekends (plus day off following)
  • No OOH work
  • Consultations, diagnostics, treatment planning, and routine/non-routine surgeries
  • Ideal for a confident GP vet who enjoys both consulting and surgical caseloads

The Practice

This hospital-status site operates as a high-standard primary care and mid-tier referral facility, with five satellite branches. Located just outside Leeds, the practice is easily accessible and offers proximity to both the Peak District and historic York.

Facilities include:

  • Full imaging suite (digital X-ray, ultrasound, onsite CT, visiting MRI)
  • 4 theatres and a dedicated surgical team
  • Dental suite with dental radiography
  • Endoscopy (rigid/flexible), laparoscopy
  • Separate dog, cat, exotic, and ICU wards
  • On-site lab with haematology, biochemistry, coags, and EPOC
  • 7 consult rooms and separate waiting areas for dogs and cats

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in a UK small animal practice
  • Confident in consultations and routine surgical procedures
  • Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a wider clinical team
  • Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and calm under pressure
  • Passion for delivering excellent client and patient care
