Full Time: 32.5 hours per week
Salary range: £31,124 per annum inclusive of London Allowance
Contract type: Permanent
Hybrid work: 80% attendance onsite required including weekend event management. Time off in lieu will be given for weekend or evening working.

The Royal Academy of Music is one of the world's leading conservatoires. The Academy has one of the fullest and varied performance programmes of any conservatoire with events ranging from individual performance to full symphony orchestra, jazz, opera and musical theatre. The Concerts Department is at the heart of all programming and performance activity and the hire services for our spaces and student musicians.
The Academy seeks to appoint a Venue Hire Operations Coordinator who will be responsible for the day to day operation of the Academy's venue hire service. Duties include acting as first point of contact for hire enquiries, coordinating all event planning and preparation, issuing quotes and contracts, on-day event management and financial settlements. The successful candidate will join a highly creative team in a dynamic working environment. The role engages with a broad range of colleagues and external stakeholders including visiting artists, promoters, corporate clients and other musical organisations.
Experience of event management, working closely with clients, plus an understanding of classical music is essential to the role, alongside a commercial approach and an interest in research and developing ideas for expansion. The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage numerous events at different stages of planning. Prioritisation, working to deadlines and problem solving skills are vital. You will have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to deal with challenging situations. Flexibility is required to manage concerts and events in the evening and weekends. Time off in lieu will be given.
