Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with both hand and power tools. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to the overall satisfaction of our customers and the smooth operation of our workshop.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake checks, and tyre rotations.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, and electrical components.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each vehicle serviced.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while adhering to safety standards.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through continuous learning and training.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly about vehicle issues and repair options.
Must be able and willing to help out on other duties when required.
Able to maintain a clean and safe environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle problems.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A valid driving licence is essential for this position.
