Vehicle Technician

Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday + 1 in 3 Saturdays

Our client is a busy and established vehicle dealership in Rugby and is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Motor Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic to join their growing workshop team.

As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of vehicles to a high standard.

Your duties will include:

• Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out MOT preparation and general vehicle inspections
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults
• Completing repairs efficiently and accurately
• Carrying out brake, clutch, suspension, steering and exhaust repairs
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and dealership standards
• Working as part of a busy and professional workshop team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment

The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Car Mechanic or Service Technician, ideally within a main dealership, independent garage or automotive workshop.

You should have:

• Previous experience in a vehicle technician / mechanic role
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
• Experience servicing and repairing passenger vehiclesKnowledge of vehicle diagnostics
• Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence

NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent automotive qualification would be advantageous.
