This is a Permanent , Full Time vacancy that will close in a month at 23:59 BST .

The Role

Vehicle Inspector

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday)

Salary: £32,885 plus a fantastic range of benefits

Manheim Vehicle Services is a dynamic and growing business, providing full support for customer de-fleeting, multiple remarketing channels and complete vehicle preparation services-both wholesale and retail ready. Our team carries out initial cosmetic inspections, ensures vehicles meet contract standards, manages authorisations and follows vehicles through to quality control-right up to the point of sale. We are committed to delivering operational excellence and exceptional customer service every step of the way.

Key Accountabilities

Inspect daily vehicle arrivals and produce accurate damage estimates that fall outside standard contract conditions.

Prioritise vehicle processing in line with targets and workflow requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Apply contract-specific standards to inspections.
  • Record and estimate vehicle damage clearly and accurately.
  • Capture and upload images of damage for customer transparency.
  • Build positive relationships with team members and other departments.
  • Support busy periods with flexibility and professionalism.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within structured regulations and procedures.
  • A sharp eye for detail and a strong grasp of vehicle components (cars and commercials).
  • Solid knowledge of repair methods and the ability to choose the best approach.
  • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • Tech-savvy, adaptable to new tools and systems.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to respond quickly to change.
  • Strong teamwork, time management, and organisational skills-especially under pressure.
