Job Description

Job Title - Vehicle & Customer Coordinator

Job Location - London

Salary - £21k - £22k

In the role of Vehicle Coordinator, you will form part of the front-line customer service team, providing in person support to the customer base when they collect or return their hire or lease vehicle.

You will also be responsible for preparing all vehicles to meet the company standards, performing safety checks and cleaning the vehicle before handover.

The role will also include moving vehicles from the compound to various suppliers for work to be completed.

This is an active role - you will not be sitting behind a desk all day and is suited to someone working in a busy environment and who is comfortable using tech on smart phone and tablet.

The role is based at our compound in East London.

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting new customers and supporting them through their vehicle collection process.
  • Recording vehicle damage and creating damage reports for the operations team.
  • Preparing vehicles for hire.
  • Completing pre-hire safety checks and all required vehicle cleaning.
  • Updating our systems to ensure vehicle status is correct and accurate.
  • Preparing vehicles for taxi licencing.
  • Movement of vehicles from storage compound to servicing garages, body shops.

Skills required:

  • Great customer service skills, a friendly personality
  • Ability and confidence to assert yourself when necessary, particularly with challenging customers; e.g. over damage caused to a vehicle
  • Hard working and active - the role involves manual work and being active for much of the day - not a desk job.
  • Independent work ethic. Can work in a team and autonomously if required.
  • Willingness to work with new systems (with training) and to use technology (e.g. hand-held apps) within the role.
  • A good communicator, patient, understanding and genuinely enjoys helping customers.
  • Good time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • A valid UK driving licence with less than 6 points.
