Vascular Doctor - Private Clinic Bank Shifts - Exeter

At the UK Vein Clinic we are expanding our services in the UK and are looking for a Vascular Doctor/Medical Doctor to support the growing demand for varicose vein and thread vein treatment.

Based in Exeter with the option to carry out clinical days in Bath, Bristol and other nearby locations. Candidates without specific experience will receive comprehensive training.

Reporting to the Lead Vascular GP.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with vascular scientists to diagnose varicose veins and thread veins in initial consultation appointments.
• Explain treatment options to patients and answer their questions.
• Recommend number of treatments required for effective thread vein removal, and where appropriate deliver thread vein treatment.
• Conduct follow up appointments, assess patient symptoms and perform brief ultrasound scans to confirm successful closure.
• Maintain accurate patient records using our patient app software.
• Triage cases requiring further input and participate in clinical specialty meetings.
• Provide a reassuring, compassionate and welcoming service to patients.

Required Qualifications / Skills

• Medical degree and a valid licence to practice in the United Kingdom.
• DBS check.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and strong problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience practicing as a GP (desirable but not essential).

Preferred Skills

• Experience diagnosing and treating varicose veins.
• Experience with ultrasound imaging techniques.
