About the role:

The Lanes Group needs a Van Pack Engineer to join our Operational Team in Sheffield working withing a well established team that are looking to expand further with another strong member of staff.

  • Location: Sheffield
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
  • Salary: up to £16 per hour depending on experience

As a Van Pack Operator, you will be:
  • Attending to customers, informing them of works due to be carried out and answering any concerns
  • Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow.
  • reporting all findings / data to the appropriate teams
  • assisting with all aspects of high pressure water jetting
  • Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.
  • Adjust pressure levels based on the condition of the system and the nature of the blockage (e.g., grease, debris, or tree roots).
  • Use the equipment to remove waste materials and prevent build-up in drains and sewer lines.
  • Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes
  • Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of high-pressure water jetting equipment to ensure it is in proper working order.
  • Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.
Experience and Qualifications: (Desirable but not essential unless stated as required)
  • Full UK driving license(Required) with no more than 6 points
  • Water Jetting Association Red or blue book
  • Banksman
  • Manual Handling
  • Emergency First Aid
  • NRSWA
  • EUSR National Water Hygiene
  • Medium risk confined space
