Validation Scientist

Hobson Prior is seeking a Validation Specialist to join a dynamic team focused on discovering and validating new drug targets for diseases with significant patient needs. This is a hands-on laboratory role that requires strong skills in cell biology and assay techniques. You will work on-site five days a week in Slough.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Responsibilities:

• Study disease pathways to find new treatment opportunities.
• Collaborate with researchers to explore biological pathways and disease models.
• Conduct experiments to test drug effectiveness using various lab techniques.
• Help improve the department's scientific knowledge and processes.
• Share findings within the organization and with external partners.
• Document experiments and assist in creating guidelines and reports.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of immunology or similar areas.
• Ability to use bioinformatics tools for data analysis.
• Basic coding skills.
• Experience with lab techniques like cell culture, flow cytometry, and gene-editing.
