We're looking for a highly organised and proactive coordinator to lead and develop the PDSO business support function. This is a key role for an experienced professional who can juggle leadership, technical systems knowledge, and day-to-day operational delivery.
This is a full-time fixed term role covering our Glasgow and Ayr offices. The successful candidate will be expected to travel regularly between their designated offices, spending a minimum of one day per week in each. Applicants must be locally based near one of the allocated offices to ensure a manageable travel time. Occasional travel to other offices across the PDSO network will also be required.
Key responsibilities include:- coordinating and managing business support resources across the regional office network
- leading and mentoring support staff, including inductions, performance management reviews, and professional development
- acting as a technical specialist for iCasework by managing workflows, improving processes, and maintaining reporting capabilities
- supporting service heads with data analysis, strategy implementation, and day-to-day operational planning
- delivering training across office procedures and case management systems
- overseeing key finance processes, including invoice approvals and purchasing
- handling additional tasks such as records management, legal aid admin, FOI/SAR requests, and complaint monitoring.
- strong people management and leadership experience
- solid experience in business administration
- strong working knowledge of case management systems (ideally iCasework) and a methodical, analytical mindset
- great communication, mentoring, and coaching skills, with the ability to support and train others
- experience working in a legal practice environment and understanding civil/criminal legal processes
- High attention to detail, excellent organisation, and the ability to juggle competing demands
- Confidence with data analysis and creating reports to support decision-making
- Advanced IT skills and the discretion to handle sensitive information professionally.
