UX Designer

UX/UI Designer - Contract

Location: Hybrid, Glasgow
Duration: Until June 2026
Rate: £420/day (Inside IR35, PAYE via Umbrella)
Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS

We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to join a high-performing product design team. The successful candidate will shape user-centred and visually engaging digital solutions, ensuring seamless user experiences for complex products within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct user research and usability testing to understand customer needs and behaviours.
• Design intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for digital platforms and applications.
• Develop and maintain consistent, visually appealing designs aligned with brand guidelines.
• Create wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualise and test concepts prior to development.
• Ensure designs adhere to accessibility standards, enabling inclusive experiences.
• Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, developers, and stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer with a strong design portfolio.
• Proficiency in user research, prototyping, interaction design, and visual design.
• Experience conducting usability testing and iterating based on feedback.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Desirable

• Degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Digital Media or related field.
• Experience in regulated industries (eg financial services).
• Familiarity with Agile ways of working.
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and Front End development concepts.
• Awareness of ethical design practices including privacy and security considerations.
