Utility Surveyor

BSS is currently recruiting two Utility Surveyors on behalf of a leading engineering and surveying contractor based in Dublin. The successful candidates will join an established survey team responsible for locating, mapping and recording underground utilities across a range of infrastructure, commercial and civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for surveyors looking to further develop their careers within a growing and technically advanced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Carry out utility surveys and underground services detection.

  • Locate and map underground utilities using industry-standard survey equipment.

  • Process survey data using AutoCAD, GIS and associated survey software.

  • Produce detailed survey drawings, utility maps and technical reports.

  • Maintain accurate digital survey records and documentation.

  • Ensure all survey information is recorded to the highest standards of accuracy.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers and site personnel regarding survey requirements.

  • Comply with all company health, safety and quality procedures.

  • Assist with project planning and survey scheduling where required.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in utility surveying and underground services detection.

  • Strong understanding of utility mapping and survey methodologies.

  • Experience using AutoCAD, GIS and survey data processing software.
  • Ability to produce accurate survey drawings and technical reports.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

  • Experience carrying out field-based surveying activities.

  • Good communication and organisational skills.

  • Full driving licence.
