STRABAG - More than just a construction company

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a landmark clean-water infrastructure scheme that also involves significant highway and access infrastructure works to support the permanent scheme and temporary construction logistics. This presents a significant opportunity to deliver the utilities scope of work within a nationally significant infrastructure programme under a Tier 1 design and build contractor.

As Utilities Agent, you'll be the front line lead for packages of utility work-coordinating permits, TM, site supervision and quality, and ensuring the supply chain meets safety and technical requirements. The utilities agent role is a hands on package leadership and interface management role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as principal site contact with asset owners and highways authorities; ensure subcontractors comply with NRSWA/HAUC processes.
  • Enforce HSG47 and Permit to Dig: planning, locating/identifying services, and safe excavation methods.
  • Ensures surveys meet PAS128 quality levels; verify records and ensure that all information is captured and maintained within the live utility register.
  • Manages subcontractors' RAMS, ITPs and records; maintain daily diaries, progress updates and change notes. Ensure that all persons, plant, equipment and materials are in accordance with the project specifications.
  • Manage all utilities interfaces, including client, third parties and all internal delivery teams.
  • Deliver the works in line with the budget to build. Support with the development of forecasts, and work with the commercial team to provide accurate cost monitoring.
  • Ensure the work complies with all permits/agreements with asset owners and local highway authorities.
  • Work with the Engineering team to feed into the design requirements.
  • Work with the consents team to ensure that all the Planning obligations have been discharged prior to commencement and are continually met throughout the delivery.
