US GL Financial Reporting Accountant

The position is responsible for general ledger related reporting duties for North American entities.

• Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month end close
• Completion and review of balance sheet reconciliations, including bank accounts
• Ensure the presentation to business owners of financial data on a timely and accurate basis
• Support the preparation of forecasts and annual plans
• Preparation of detailed cost centre and payroll analysis
• Collaborate extensively with relevant OEM sites
• Ensure integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative and legal controls in accordance with entity policy and procedures
• Ensure compliance with VAT, tax and fiscal requirements
• Prepare information requested by internal and external auditors
• Maintain integrity of internal financial controls
• Perform ad hoc tasks to support the Finance function
• Provide backup support for other colleagues as necessary

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Business degree or diploma including accounting
• Previous experience in a shared service centre
• SAP user level experience preferable but not required
• Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
• Excellent IT skills with a working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong attention to detail and good time management skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines
