Urgent Care Assistant - Keynsham (Out of hours, part-time, Up to £17.16/hr)

HealthHero is hiring Urgent Care Assistants to perform driving, reception and base duties in Integrated Urgent Care services across Wiltshire, Swindon and Bath and North East Somerset. The role is part time, permanent.

About the role

As an Urgent Care Assistant you will have a dual role of driving and reception to support the efficient operation of our 24/7 service. You will work on a rolling 4 week rota agreed after interview, supporting clinicians and patients accessing NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours.

Shift patterns are varied, including weekday evenings, weekends and overnight sessions (23 00). Flexibility and occasional work outside contracted hours may be required.

Key duties Driving

• Drive clinicians to patients' homes safely and legally.
• Perform basic vehicle checks at the start and end of shifts.
• Record all medications and consumables used during shift.

Base duties

• First point of contact for patients or carers at designated Treatment Centres.
• Support clinicians during shift.
• Communicate with patients via telephone for comfort and welfare checks.
• Maintain cleanliness of Treatment Centre.

Medication and Stock Management

• Use computer systems to maintain medication and consumable stock levels.
• Replenish car stock at end of shift.
• Understand stock rotation and expiry dates with weekly deliveries.

• Able to work confidently under pressure in emergency situations.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Good level of driving experience.
• Must pass a driver's medical.
• Possibility of occasional overtime.
