Unqualified Teaching Assistant - Primary School (Widnes, WA8)

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated team in a primary school setting. In this role you will work closely with the teaching staff to support classroom activities and create a positive learning environment for young learners.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
• Work with small groups or individual students to provide targeted support and guidance.
• Help maintain a safe and organized learning environment.
• Support students with core subjects: English, Mathematics, Science and other curriculum areas.
• Foster positive relationships with students, promoting their self esteem and well being.
• Monitor and record students' progress and behaviour, reporting any concerns to the class teacher.
• Collaborate with the teaching staff and other teaching assistants to contribute to the overall success of the school community.

Experience and Skills

• Experience working with special needs including autism, ADHD, social emotional mental health, challenging behaviour, cerebral palsy, complex needs, PMLD or severe learning difficulties.
• Experience in residential, education, personal life family settings, care work, foster care, youth clubs or similar environments.

Requirements

Applicants must be suitably qualified for the position and be prepared to attend an in person interview to demonstrate suitability.
