Unibanks Testers

Location: UK or Ireland About the Role

We are supporting a leading banking client in strengthening the testing capability across its core banking estate, with a particular focus on the Unibanks and Hogan platforms.

We're looking for an experienced Test SME with strong Unibanks expertise to lead testing activities, ensuring releases are delivered with minimal risk and the highest quality standards across a business-critical banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Test SME for the Unibanks core banking platform, providing guidance to delivery teams and stakeholders.
• Define and own test strategies, plans and execution for system releases, upgrades and change initiatives.
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression and end-to-end testing across core banking processes, including:
  • Account management
  • Payments
  • Lending
  • Customer servicing
• Manage defects through their lifecycle, working closely with development, business analysis and operations teams.
• Ensure test environments and test data are fit for purpose and ready for execution.
• Provide test estimates, progress updates and risk reporting to programme leadership.
• Work closely with client stakeholders to validate requirements and ensure appropriate test coverage.
• Drive continuous improvement across testing processes, tools and automation.

Essential Experience

• Proven experience as a Test SME on the Unibanks core banking platform (or significant experience with a comparable core banking platform).
• Strong understanding of core banking operations, including payments, lending, customer information and account servicing.
• Experience creating test strategies, test plans and test cases for large-scale banking change programmes.
• Hands on experience with tools such as Jira, Zephyr, HP ALM/Quality Center, or similar.
• Experience working within regulated banking or financial services environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
