Underwriting MI Analyst - Power BI, SQL - City, London

This role is working 4 days onsite and 1 day remotely

Joining this Lloyd's Insurance Underwriter in their Operations Department as an Underwriting MI Analyst you will have recent experience working for a Syndicate in a similar role as an essential requirement.

Creating regular, and ad hoc reports and visualisations that support the monitoring of underwriting and operational performance and the production and analysis of business data for internal and external purposes.

The Underwriting MI analyst will contribute to the development of the Group Data Strategy, working with the Operations, IT and Data teams to enhance the quality of reporting and supporting business MI 'self service'

Key responsibilities:-

• Creating and maintenance of relevant Underwriting Power BI dashboards that can be relied upon by Underwriting teams to assist with portfolio management
• Contribute to the accurate data cataloguing of key data assets
• Work with relevant underwriting and operational functions in the development of efficient internal and external reporting
• Contribute to regulatory and Lloyd's reporting when required
• Working with underwriting data, developing a strong understanding of business requirements

Key skills/experience required:-

• Previous experience working in a Lloyd's/London Market insurance Syndicate is essential
• Strong proficiency in building Power BI reports, dashboards, and data modelling utilising DAX, SQL, and power query
• An understanding of data governance principles, including data ownership, quality and compliance
• Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions, interpreting and presenting insights to stakeholders clearly
• Good analytical, mathematical and organisational skills
