Overview:

This role is with a pedigree MGA owned by a global broking giant, offering a 'best in class' service, with capacity from one of the largest insurers worldwide. The company is expanding its market share, focusing on sports sectors such as football and rugby clubs.

Responsibilities:

1. Managing relationships with regional brokers, colleagues, and clients across the UK.
2. Identifying opportunities for new and existing clients, evaluating risks, and offering solutions.
3. Underwriting both new and renewal business within delegated authority.
4. Communicating effectively with senior staff to ensure clarity and positive relationships.
5. Providing high-quality service in line with SLAs.
6. Building profitable relationships with brokers and colleagues, both virtually and face-to-face.
7. Issuing policies by calculating premiums and negotiating terms.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates have a commercial underwriting background, preferably with experience in sports insurance such as golf or miscellaneous sports. Applications from outstanding Commercial Underwriters (Commercial Combined, Property, Casualty) with a passion for sports are welcomed. Experienced brokers with delegated authority scheme knowledge are also encouraged to apply. Note: Focus on auto-rated business is not desired.

Skills & Requirements:

• Highly numerate with excellent IT skills.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work towards shared goals.

Role Details:

This is a hybrid role requiring only a couple of days in the office weekly, with scope for full remote work for highly suitable candidates.
