Job Description
The UK Financial Controller will be responsible for:
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, managing tax filings and audits.
- Supervise accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain cash flow efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
- Lead and develop the accounting team, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Implement and enhance internal controls to safeguard company assets.
The Successful Applicant
A successful UK Financial Controller should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience in FMCG/Manufacturing industries.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and familiarity with relevant financial systems.
- Ability to analyse complex financial data and present actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a finance team.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining compliance standards.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
What's on Offer
The UK Financial Controller role comes with a competitive base salary of £65,000-£70,000, £6,900 car allowance and 15% Bonus. You will also receive other corporate benefits and hybrid working of 2 days per week in the office.
