TELSONIC UK, established in 1977 and based in Poole, Dorset, offers a range of ultrasonic welding equipment, including hand-held units, bench-top systems, and bespoke special-purpose welding systems, as well as equipment for the OEM market for specialist machine builders.

Responsibilities

Mechanical fitting and assembly of ultrasonic welding machines
Mechanical fitting of small bench-top systems to full bespoke machines
Piping pneumatic systems on machines
Occasional turning/milling of parts
Building guards from extrusion
Running wires and cables
Other beneficial experience includes cross-discipline knowledge of control systems, including PLC and/or safety controller programming.

Candidate Attributes

The ideal candidate should have a solid electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical assembly background. Experience in PLC programming is advantageous but not essential. A positive attitude towards new challenges, self-motivation, and the willingness to take on additional responsibilities, such as service and repair of equipment (which may involve travel), are important. A full driving license is required. The candidate must be diligent, able to work independently, as well as a team player, flexible, and willing to be hands-on in other areas when required.
