Care International UK seeks a Trusts & Foundations Specialist to build and grow funding relationships with UK-based Trusts and Foundations, manage a portfolio of donors, and develop proposals across a range of programs.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of five- and six-figure UK Trusts and Foundations, and support the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager with large opportunities.
  • Research, identify and engage prospective organisations; steward existing donors through creative, gold-standard relationship management.
  • Develop compelling donor proposals, budgets and reports; secure five- and six-figure partnerships with small to large organisations.
  • Collaborate with the Partnerships & Philanthropy team, country and programmes colleagues globally; engage leadership as needed.
  • Contribute to growing unrestricted and restricted funding and expand CARE UK's Trusts and Foundations portfolio.
About You / Qualifications
  • Experience raising funds from Trusts and Foundations and/or other supporters (major donors or corporates).
  • Dynamic, proactive communicator who enjoys building relationships with Trusts and Foundations; experience with proposal writing, reports and donor acknowledgments.
  • Commitment to working with women and girls and interest in humanitarian/international development.
  • Experience navigating a complex organisation, coordinating stakeholders; ability to compile programmes into concise donor proposals, budgets and reports.
  • Independent and team-oriented with proactive problem-solving.
  • Understanding of international development or strong interest; willingness to learn.
Role Details

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly formed Trusts and Foundations team to raise funds for CARE International's work globally to shift power and resources to women and local communities. You will form and nurture relationships with UK-based Trusts and Foundations, secure five- and six-figure partnerships, manage a portfolio, and support large opportunities. You will research, identify and engage prospective donors and steward a small number of existing donors. Work closely with the Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager, Head of Partnerships & Philanthropy, country and programmes colleagues globally.
