Overview 
Treasury Manager - Middle Office (16278)
Company: easyJet operates a large European network with a significant treasury function. This role is based in Luton and involves ensuring a strong control framework within the Treasury team and covering the Assistant Treasurer and the Treasury Accountant within Middle Office.
Responsibilities- Accounting: Perform treasury accounting (valuations, hedge accounting, accruals, etc.) and provide commentary / feed into budgets where necessary.
- Ensure all ledger reconciliations are maintained and remain accurate.
- Contribute to and review the annual report and accounts for the year end.
- Primary contact for treasury accounting and audit process.
- Support on Credit Rating analysis where required.
- Prepare reporting of treasury activities for senior management.
- Research changes in standards and regulation and ensure necessary steps are taken to prepare accordingly.
- Management: Manage and develop a team of two direct reports.
- Control: Ensure system maintenance on all treasury related systems (TMS, dealing platforms and payment systems).
- Assist in the annual refresh of Treasury Policy and the Risk and Controls Matrix and ensure compliance is maintained through the year.
- Seek to automate controls where possible.
- Relationship Management: Maintain good working relationships with auditors and key system providers.
- Build strong and effective relationships within Treasury as well as wider finance functions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to streamline and improve processes/controls.
- Other Ad Hoc: Assist on ad-hoc projects/tasks.
- Strong intellect with a drive to learn and is a qualified accountant in ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification.
- Ideally have experience in treasury accounting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge whilst building strong relationships both internally and externally.
- Sound commercial judgement.
- Strong attention to detail and high degree of numeracy.
- Good organisational skills - structured approach.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and manage numerous work streams simultaneously.
- Strong Excel, modelling and analysis skills.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas very simply at all levels.
- Drive to deliver and energy to achieve objectives.
- Enthusiasm with the ability to work well as part of a team and cover for other team members.
