We're looking for a motivated finance professional to join our Treasury team, helping us to make efficient investment and borrowing decisions to ensure we maintain appropriate levels of liquidity, whilst managing financial risk so we can keep investing in essential services for our customers and communities.
What you'll be doing
In this dynamic and varied role, you'll be directly involved in our daily dealing operations and wider treasury activities, including:

- Supporting management of relationships with the group's insurance brokers, insurers and various bankers / money transmission providers.
- Learning to use and manage the various IT systems and applications used by the treasury team for cash management purposes and to support the wider treasury function.
- Supporting ad hoc treasury projects and investor relations activities.
- Following detailed, process-driven procedures within a well-controlled and monitored environment, with a focus on continuous improvement, efficiency, and innovation.
You will undertake a 3 month training programme when you first start, which will be predominantly office based, with lots of support to build your expertise and confidence. This role offers strong development opportunities to explore different areas of treasury and finance, fostering business wide collaboration and personal growth.

- An accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong mathematical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy.
- Good IT skills, with proven Excel experience (knowledge of macros and Power Query are a real advantage).
- The ability to analyse data insightfully and logically, telling a compelling financial story.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and build credibility at senior levels.
- Resilience under pressure and strong prioritization skills to deliver high-quality results.
- A collaborative approach, balanced with the initiative to work independently.
- A keen interest in bringing efficiencies and innovation to treasury processes.
