Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a leading international organisation to recruit a Treasury and Cash Manager for their Belfast-based treasury function.This is a unique opportunity to join a globally recognised business in a senior treasury capacity, acting as the deputy to the Head of Treasury. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing global liquidity, foreign exchange exposure, banking relationships and cash forecasting across a complex, multi-entity international group.With significant exposure to senior leadership, strategic treasury initiatives and international stakeholders, this role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced treasury professional looking to step into a highly visible leadership position.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Head of Treasury, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of global cash, liquidity and foreign exchange activities across the group.Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and optimising global cash pooling structures across multiple currencies and jurisdictions
• Ownership of the group's rolling cash flow forecast, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting
• Managing daily cash positioning, liquidity planning and short to medium-term forecasting
• Leading foreign exchange risk management activities, including exposure identification, hedging and reporting
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with banking partners and financial institutions
• Deputising for the Global Head of Treasury when required
• Providing leadership and support to the Treasury & Cash team
• Preparing treasury, liquidity and FX reports for senior leadership and board-level stakeholders
• Strengthening treasury controls, policies and governance frameworks
• Supporting funding, capital structure and acquisition-related treasury projects
• Driving treasury process improvement, automation and systems optimisation initiatives
• Working closely with international finance teams to improve cash visibility and forecasting accuracy

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• Significant treasury experience gained within a large international or multinational environment
• Proven experience managing multi-currency cash management and liquidity structures
• Strong exposure to foreign exchange risk management, including hedging and treasury instruments
• Experience working with global banking partners and treasury-related financial products
• A treasury qualification such as AMCT, MCT or equivalent, or a professional finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA) combined with substantial treasury experience
• Strong financial modelling and advanced Excel skills
• Experience working with Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
• Previous experience managing or mentoring treasury teams
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• The confidence and credibility to engage with senior leadership and external banking partners
• A proactive, analytical and commercially focused approach
