Transport Team Leader

Salary: From £35,400 per annum depending on experience, plus bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Transport Team Leader to join our team based at our Head Office. This role will be responsible for the coordination of the day-to-day logistics of the NWH fleet across several different vehicle sectors including Tipper vehicles.
The ideal candidate would have experience within a similar role, knowledge of Transport Legislation, have the ability to manage a demanding situation, and be a positive team player.
It is essential to be competent in using the Microsoft Office packages and to be confident navigating online platforms e.g. tracker and work allocation systems.
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday 7am-5pm and will offer a competitive salary starting from £35,400 dependant on experience plus you will be part of a bonus scheme.
Job Activities- Communicate and allocate work with drivers as cost effectively and efficiently as possible
- Oversee the day-to-day coordination of tipper operations to ensure service delivery and customer commitments are met
- Leading a team of drivers in a positive proactive manner
- Assist other transport team leaders in the logistics of their vehicles and drivers as required
- Enforcing Health, Safety and Compliance requirements with drivers
- Management of driving staff including recording of sickness, holidays, payroll, and continuously reviewing driver performance.
