Our client is continuing to expand and is now seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join their Birmingham operation. As their recruitment partner, we're looking for someone who can bring efficiency, calm under pressure and a real passion for logistics.
The roleAs Transport Planner, you'll take ownership of daily route planning, driver coordination, and ensuring deliveries run seamlessly. You'll be the operational glue behind the scenes problem solving, adjusting plans in real time and keeping communication flowing between teams.
Responsibilities- Plan, optimise, and manage daily transport routes
- Coordinate drivers and vehicle allocation
- Respond quickly to operational changes and customer needs
- Maintain compliance with UK transport legislation
- Analyse performance data to improve efficiency
- Build strong working relationships across the business
- Previous experience in transport planning or logistics
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilitiesConfident communication skills both with internal & external teams
- Ability to stay calm and solution focused in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of transport regulations and planning systems (or the drive to learn quickly)
