Transport Gatehouse Clerk

60 hour working week (£795 pre-tax income)

We are seeking a committed and self-motivated member of staff to fulfil administrative duties within a busy traffic gatehouse for a leading logistics company in the South Derby area. The site is well accessible from Alvaston, Long Eaton, Castle Donington and most of Derby.

Responsibilities of the Traffic Gatehouse Clerk will be as follows:

• Checking vehicle shipment documentation
• Cross-referencing order codes
• Providing customer service at the gatehouse window
• Supporting with some very basic data entry support on the internal Transport Management Software
• Answering low levels of inbound telephone queries
• Guiding Drivers to the relevant parking bay area

Core requirements include:

• Willingness to support with a long working pattern (agreement to 48 hour opt-out will be required)
• Strong work ethic & reliability
• Basic data entry experience
• Previous work experience in a security / transport environment highly advantageous - however if you have worked as a receptionist in a logistics setting this would also have a lot in common

Hours of work: Monday to Friday
Rate of pay: £13.25 per hour TBC
