Transport Coordinator

Matrix Recruitment is working alongside our client for a Transport Coordinator based in Carlow. This is a full-time, office-based opportunity with an immediate start, offering a collaborative and supportive environment. As Transport Coordinator, you'll manage scheduling and logistics for horse transport services across Ireland and Europe. You'll work closely with drivers, clients, and your team to keep everything running smoothly. This is a permanent role, and all activities are based onsite.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport schedules and routes for horse shipments

• Liaise regularly with clients to confirm bookings, travel details, and requirements

• Work with drivers and teammates to ensure efficient operations

• Maintain accurate paperwork, including customs, ferry bookings, and documentation

• Take part in rostered out-of-hours phone support (with additional allowance)

• Occasionally assist at nearby stables, supporting with animal handling as needed

What Are We Looking For?

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Well organised and comfortable managing multiple tasks

• Previous office experience (4-5 years' experience strongly considered)

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

• Genuine interest in animal welfare; experience with horses is beneficial
