Job Description

Stephen Sanderson Transport are looking for an organised and efficient Administrator to support the transport team each day.

We are committed to delivering excellent service through safe, efficient, and professional transport operations. The Transport Administrator plays a key role in supporting these objectives and ensuring the smooth running of the transport department. You will assist with the day-to-day operation of transport activities, involving inbox management, maintaining accurate records, coordinating documentation, communicating with drivers and customers, and supporting compliance with transport regulations and company procedures. This position is suitable for applicants who thrive in a fast-paced environment who are looking to develop their career within transport and logistics.

  • Provide general administrative support to the Transport Team.
  • Maintain accurate transport records, databases, and filing systems.
  • Process and update transport documentation, including delivery notes, manifests, and driver paperwork.
  • Manage incoming telephone calls, multiple inboxes, and correspondence.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, suppliers, and third party service providers.
  • Handle transport enquiries and provide updates on deliveries and collections when required.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accurately input operational data into transport management systems.
  • Competent data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
  • Organised approach with the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in an administrative role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:

  • Administration: 1 year (preferred)

Working Hours:

Rotating weekly shifts (45 hours per week)

Week 1, 08:30 - 18:30

Week 2, 10:00 - 20:00
