About the RoleThe Transformation Senior Lead - UK & MENA plays a pivotal role in translating Liberty International Insurance's strategic transformation vision into regional execution and successful delivery outcomes. The role supports the Head of Liberty International Insurance Transformation & Change and the Regional leadership team in driving the vision and implementation of the strategic objectives to achieve Liberty's 2030 goals. It partners with global delivery teams in multi region initiatives, overseeing local implementation and executing region specific initiatives.
Responsibilities Delivery Leadership- Lead the regional delivery execution of the 2030 agenda, ensuring execution excellence, ownership, and alignment to LII and GRS global strategic direction while adapting to regional needs.
- Collaborate with the regional leadership team and transformation team to build, consolidate, and execute the regional strategic plan, ensuring coherence between regional delivery and global priorities.
- Translate regional vision into tangible roadmaps, milestones, and benefits, driving ownership across regions, countries, and functions.
- Collaborate with partners in global transformation, product, and technology to shape delivery outcomes and ensure customer and business value realisation.
- Drive outcome tracking and transparent reporting, highlighting regional progress and contributions to LII/GRS level success.
- Co own performance and delivery outcomes ensuring shared success and sustained alignment.
- Provide leadership and guidance for the initiatives fostering a collaborative environment to enable a high performing, healthy team.
- Build trusted relationships with sponsors and business stakeholders across LII to develop delivery approaches and shape change and delivery plans.
- Apply structured change management methods (Prosci, Agile) to support adoption.
- Build and support stakeholder readiness and engagement plans to sustain outcomes.
- Champion transparent, inclusive communication across impacted teams.
- Conduct impact analysis, stakeholder mapping, engagement plans and readiness assessments.
- Run workshops, training and targeted interventions to support adoption and capability uplift.
- Champion cultural and mindset shifts needed to embed transformation at all levels, fostering accountability, collaboration, and empowerment.
- Provide support and direction to drive the change management capability for the region.
- Support business readiness and adoption activities to ensure sustainable change.
- Act as an ambassador for transformation initiatives, ensuring messages, intent, and purpose are consistently championed.
- Partner with local leaders to embed new practices and tools within day to day operations.
- Partner with the regional executive to build regional capability and leadership strength aligned to global frameworks.
- Champion the LII vision locally, ensuring transformation is seen as a shared enterprise.
- Represent regional delivery progress and priorities in governance forums.
- Champion initiatives within the region, ensuring strong sponsorship, advocacy, and engagement.
- Act as a point of additional support for delivery teams balancing priorities and negotiating trade offs.
- Maintain strong governance involvement across the regional portfolio, ensuring effective oversight, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Represent regional needs in quarterly planning and steering forums.
- Maintain clear reporting on outcomes, risks, and dependencies, ensuring proactive management & escalation.
- Provide timely reporting on the progress of the regional strategy execution to governance bodies, including the strategic enablement forum.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards in all regional delivery activities.
- Lead regional governance reviews and steerco sessions, ensuring progress and dependencies are actively managed.
- Role model positive and resilient change behaviours, motivating and developing the team.
- Support the growth of change capability and knowledge sharing.
- Assess and incorporate the use of AI or Automation tools in execution of delivery and change.
- Contribute to a psychologically safe, inclusive, and growth oriented culture.
- Role model Liberty's values and commitment to wellbeing, authenticity, and teamwork.
- Oversee development and adoption of delivery tools, templates, and best practice playbooks.
- Lead capability building activities across the function.
- Drive improvements to ways of working based on lessons learned.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable delivery plans and milestones that align the wider ecosystem.
- Ensure delivery plans and decisions consider sustainability goals, ethical standards, and long term business impact.
- Ensure that transformation outcomes are embedded, measurable, and sustained post implementation.
- Promote continuous improvement and feedback loops within and across the Transformation and Change team.
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory requirements and demonstrate behaviors as set out in the Conduct Risk Policy.
- Proactively demonstrate compliance with Senior Managers and Certification Regime Conduct Rules, Solvency II, fair treatment of customers, Financial Crime, Data Protection, Conflicts of Interest, and Whistleblowing.
- Proven track record managing complex, cross functional initiatives and owning end to end delivery.
- Practical application of change approaches (Prosci/ADKAR/APMG) integrated into delivery.
- Experience working with delivery teams aligned to agile ways of working and creating business value.
- Experience in progress/status reporting to governance forums.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Strong problem solving and ability to work in a team to maximise progress and effectiveness.
- Strong coordination, organisation and planning skills.
- Flexible and adaptable; able to work in complex, interdependent scenarios.
- Experience leading mixed on/offshore and vendor teams beneficial.
- Demonstrated practical use of AI/automation in analysis, delivery and change.
