Transactional Monitoring Financial Crime Governance AVP

As an Assistant Vice President in Transactional Monitoring Financial Crime Governance, you will support the governance and oversight of Financial Crime (FC) risk, focusing on Transactional Monitoring (TM). Your responsibilities include managing TM controls, tracking issues and incidents, and supporting risk impact assessments. This role involves collaboration with senior stakeholders and development of governance frameworks aligned with the bank's policies.

You will provide assurance across TM activities to ensure risks are identified and managed effectively. A background in assurance, audit, or financial crime risk is beneficial.

Key experience required includes:

• Financial Crime risk management and controls, especially in TM, Screening, or Sanctions.
• Governance processes and issue/incident management.
• Supporting risk reporting and assessments.
• Engaging with senior stakeholders.
• Experience in assurance or audit functions is advantageous.

The role is based in our London office.

Purpose of the role

To design, develop, and consult on the bank's internal controls framework and related policies, ensuring they are effective and aligned with the bank's strategy and risk appetite.

Accountabilities

• Identify and analyze emerging risks to understand their impact and likelihood.
• Communicate the control framework's purpose and importance to stakeholders.
• Support the development and implementation of the controls framework tailored to the bank's needs.
• Monitor and update the framework to ensure compliance.
• Promote understanding and embedment of the framework through training and awareness campaigns.
