Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a Transaction Tax Senior Manager to join our growing team. You will advise smaller family run businesses to large and listed as well as private equity clients, on the tax aspects of acquisitions, disposals, restructurings and refinancing.
The role will involve leading complex tax due diligence engagements, providing structuring advice on domestic and cross border transactions, and supporting clients through all stages of the deal lifecycle. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, private equity investors and international colleagues across the WTS Global network, while helping to shape and grow our UK transactions tax offering.
This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in building a modern, conflict free tax advisory firm - shaping workflows and working directly with senior leaders and high profile clients in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
- Lead buy-side and sell side tax due diligence projects
- Identify, assess and quantify tax risks and opportunities in target businesses
- Advise on tax efficient acquisition and disposal structures
- Support SPA negotiations, including drafting and reviewing tax clauses and indemnities
- Provide structuring advice on cross border transactions and group reorganisations
- Lead the firm in designing and adopting technology enabled ways of working, championing digital tools that enhance delivery and empower teams.
- Advise on refinancing, debt structuring and post acquisition integration
- Analyse developments in international tax reform, including BEPS and Pillar Two
- Collaborate with international colleagues on cross border deals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, including with private equity stakeholders
- Contribute to business development initiatives and proposal preparation
- Coach and develop junior team members
- Play an active role in shaping the growth and strategic direction of the UK transactions tax practice
- CTA, ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong UK corporate tax technical expertise
- Significant experience in transaction tax and due diligence
- Experience advising private equity, smaller corporate or large corporate clients
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to assess risk and deliver pragmatic advice
- Strong financial literacy and ability to interpret transactional documentation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven experience leading client relationships and managing complex projects
- A passion for developing people, with proven experience mentoring, coaching and training team members to support their growth and progression
- A collaborative mindset aligned with our culture
- CTA, ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
- Strong UK corporate tax technical expertise
