Trainee SEN Teaching Assistant

Daily Expectations & Routine

You will support pupils aged 4-11 with autism, SEMH and communication needs.

You will:

• Shadow experienced SEN staff initially
• Support sensory breaks
• Help with literacy and numeracy tasks
• Reinforce behaviour expectations
• Assist with structured play and social skills

Pupils leave at 3:30pm. Staff remain until 4:00pm for reflection and learning.

Experience & Pay Scale

Experience is desirable but not required.

Candidates may be appointed on a trainee TA scale depending on background. Full mentoring and ongoing training provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
