Trainee Project Manager

My client is a family-owned, regional, groundworks and civil engineering contractor who are based in East Hampshire. They have a full order book and get involved with projects ranging from groundworks, foundations, basements to reinstatement and tarmacking. This role will start out more project administration based until you have learned the ropes of the company, you will then move into being more site based. This role offers a brilliant opportunity to move into the industry, with the chance to gain extra certifications and great on-the-job experience. You will be supported along the way by highly experienced individuals who know the company through and through, this will allow you to excel!

• General Operational assistance
• Stock Control
• RAMS & CPP's
• S171 Licenses
• Blue Folders (Folders for ongoing projects)
• Site Folders
• Site closedown procedure- Photos to client, ensuring nothing is left on site
• Overseeing the Training Matrix
• Plant keys and maintenance schedules
• Repairs list and parts ordering
• Assisting with Bid Writing
• Grab and tarmac schedule

My client isn't overly specific on what qualifications the successful individual must have but what is definitely required is someone self- motivating, enthusiastic, has a thirst for knowledge and is genuinely passionate about civil engineering. You must have great personal skills along with strong IT skills as you will firstly be more office - based. Experience working on-site would be advantageous but not essential.
