TRAINEE ASSESSOR IN HOUSING
Posted 2 hours 9 minutes ago by NVQ Assessor
Are you an experienced CIH-qualified Housing Professional? Fancy a change in the direction of your career?
Would you like to like to pass on your knowledge and experience to Housing and Property Management Apprentices?
Our client is a well-established Training Provider Organisation based in Nottingham. They offer a range of employment-related training as well as Apprenticeships. They currently have an opportunity for a CIH-qualified Housing Professional to join them as a Trainer / Assessor in a Trainee role where you will work towards achieving the Assessor qualification.
As a Trainer / Assessor, your role will involve training and assessing Apprenticeships in the Housing / Property management sectors. (Private and affordable housing sectors).
The role will be based in Nottingham, but may require some travel to train around Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire (East Midlands)
The Housing Apprenticeship Assessor role involves:
- Support learners throughout their training in Housing by reviewing and assessing their progress and ensuring they attend appropriate off-the-job training.
- Meeting the needs of learners from a wide range of backgrounds, ensuring they maximise their potential and achieve the skills, knowledge and competence required to succeed in their role and achieve a relevant qualification.
- Recent, up-to-date and relevant Housing sector experience
- Willing to work towards TAQA assessor award or equivalent
- A minimum of grade C Mathematics and English or Level 2 Functional Skills
- A Minimum of a Level 3 Housing qualification (CIH or equivalent) - Level 4 or 5 would be preferred, but not essential
- Driving licence and own transport
When uploading this post we noticed a distinct lack of what we would consider required qualifications. To be an Assessor you would need to hold either an; A1/2, D32/33, or CAVA which we have a link to HERE . Similarly so, to be a FE practitioner, in other words, a Trainer, you should hold at a minimum the AET (Level 3 Award in Education and Training). The position does not ask for these so do not feel deterred to apply if you do not possess them. However, it is in our professional opinion you need to have either qualification before applying.
