Traffic Management Lead Operative

• Work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.
• Manage and direct a small traffic management team.
• Carry out and take responsibility for installing, maintaining, and removing temporary traffic management, including cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other equipment on low speed roads.
• Install, maintain, and remove temporary traffic signals such as two way and multi phase traffic control, ensuring units are installed correctly and batteries are fully charged.
• Collect traffic management from sites once projects have been completed.
• Previous experience of delivering highway maintenance traffic management on site.
• Hold a current, valid driving licence; LGV class 2 desirable.
• Able to carry out basic safety, quality, and environmental audits and risk assessments.
• Take responsibility for traffic management, holding NHSS 12 A/B Traffic Management training.
• Good understanding of health and safety and its impact on the workplace.
