The Trading Director is the senior leader of Channel Factory's trading function in the UK, responsible for delivering margin, performance, product adoption, and operational excellence across one of the company's most strategically important markets.
The role has primary accountability for UK trading delivery, while also supporting multi market client activity that is managed out of the UK. In these cases, the Trading Director will work collaboratively with regional teams to ensure consistency of approach, pricing, and performance for clients spending across multiple markets.
This is a hands on commercial leadership role focused on trading excellence, forecasting and pricing discipline, performance delivery, and the effective adoption of new solutions aligned to the global roadmap.
Key Responsibilities 1. Trading Leadership & Performance Management- Own trading delivery for the UK market across YouTube, social, CTV, and emerging channels.
- Set trading standards and operational guardrails to ensure consistent, high quality output.
- Ensure Guaranteed Outcomes (GO) and Social Suitability (SS) products consistently meet or exceed agreed KPIs.
- Act as the senior escalation point for UK trading issues, delivery risks, and performance challenges.
- Champion adoption of Channel Factory betas with trading partners in the UK, including suitability lists, inclusion/exclusion strategies, Fit for TV, multi platform social packages, and new performance led products.
- Partner closely with Product and Operations to pilot and scale new tools and capabilities in the UK.
- Support the integration of global partnerships into UK trading workflows, ensuring they are operationally viable and commercially effective.
- Translate new capabilities into clear, compelling propositions for UK Sales and Client Solutions teams.
- Work closely with UK Sales, Client Solutions, Product, Planning, Operations, and Finance to ensure seamless execution and commercial discipline.
- Partner with Finance on forecasting, reconciliation, and margin governance.
- Share best practice and learnings with other markets where helpful, without owning regional trading strategy or management.
- Coach and support Sales and Client Solutions teams to strengthen commercial judgement, optimisation capability, and client confidence.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, and collaboration across the UK trading function.
- 7+ years' experience in digital media trading, activation, or performance led buying.
- Strong expertise across YouTube, DV360, social video, and emerging video environments.
- Proven experience leading trading teams with clear commercial accountability.
- Deep familiarity with UK agency trading models and senior agency stakeholders.
- Highly analytical, with strong pricing, forecasting, and performance management skills.
- Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with clients, agencies, and senior internal stakeholders.
- High engagement, performance, and retention within the UK trading partners.
- UK trading margin consistently meets or exceeds targets.
- High accuracy in forecasting and pricing discipline.
- Reduction in trading errors, delivery issues, and operational risk.
- Successful adoption of new Channel Factory solutions in the UK market.
- Strong collaboration with regional teams on UK led multi market clients.
This role is UK-focused. Any involvement in multi market activity is driven by clients managed out of the UK and is delivered in collaboration with regional leadership. It does not carry ownership of EMEA trading strategy or management, which sits elsewhere in the organisation.
