Tradesperson - Scotland & Northern England

We have an exciting opportunity for a Tradesperson to join our Retail team covering Scotland and Northern England. Your role will be to provide expert maintenance within stores, reacting to requests for urgent repairs to ensure a safe environment for our customers and colleagues. You will work closely with Health & Safety and our Maintenance teams to complete work promptly and to a high standard. Additionally, you will liaise with store teams regarding timescales for completion and work with them to reduce risks to keep stores fully operational. This role requires travel across the North Region, with your base store in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities
- Undertake repairs within stores promptly and to a high standard
- Advise on the best course of action for long-lasting results
- Liaise with our maintenance team to plan work and order parts
- Work closely with Health & Safety and Store Operations to ensure safety
- Proactively resolve maintenance issues within stores
- Clean fascia's, entrance halls, plant areas, and interiors
- Renew and replace signage for POS
- Replace and repair fixtures, fittings, and plant benches
- Replace toilets and sinks
- Report any risks to Health & Safety immediately
- Mentor junior team members and ensure process compliance
- Communicate with Store management regarding repairs, timescales, and issues to minimize impact on store operations
- Maintain tools and equipment
- Store hazardous chemicals safely
- Wear PPE appropriately to prevent accidents
- Provide regular progress feedback to the Head of Construction & Maintenance

- Timely completion of maintenance repairs to high standards
- Minimal impact on store operations, ensuring smooth running
- Maintenance of Health & Safety standards
- Effective communication with store teams and maintenance colleagues, fostering a "one team" approach
- Stores remain clean, and equipment functions properly
