Trade Counter Sales Assistant - Dublin

Our Heat Merchants branch in Rialto, Dublin has a fantastic opportunity for a Trade Counter Sales Assistant. The successful candidate will assist in dealing with day to day sales enquiries and transactions, and maintain high standards of customer care within the branch.

Job Specification

• Respond to sales enquiries either by phone or over the counter, provide advice, information, quotations
• Offer alternative products, up sell where possible, promote own brands and cross brand sales
• Understand customer's expectations and needs
• Keep customers updated on orders and deliveries
• Monitor quotes won / lost
• Monitor customer orders and deliveries
• Assist with stores/deliveries as and when required
• Stay updated with product knowledge and branch costs and targets
• Adhere to health, safety and environment rules and regulations
• Any other reasonable duties which may arise

Person Specification

• Previous customer-facing experience, in a trade environment preferably
• Must be extremely customer focused and results driven
• Flexible approach to work
• Sales experience and/or product knowledge in the heating and plumbing industry / Bathroom and Sanitary industry
• Full clean valid driver's license
