We have a great opportunity available for a qualified exercise professional. You will need at least a Level 2 health & fitness qualification and experience in the fitness industry.

Halo centres are all vital community assets which are well used and supported by the local population. You will deal with a wide variety of customers, supporting them to get the best out of their visit to the gym.

Salary: - £12.21 per hour

Hours: - 30 hours

Start date: To be confirmed

Responsibilities

• To instruct new gym members and provide inductions.
• To compile personal fitness programmes for gym members when required.
• To assist with health promotions.
• To carry out regular maintenance and equipment checks.
• Run a safe and clean activity, taking care of the resources which are needed to deliver the services on offer.
• Pitch in as needed to help your centre, your manager, your colleagues.
• Promote our values and expectations.
• Plan your activities and deliver a great session to individuals and groups.
• Support your colleagues.
• Commit to your own development.
• Take part in company training programmes.
• Provide feedback so we can continually improve.
• Respect the privacy rights of customers and colleagues.
• Take responsibility for your performance.
• Take an active interest in the company and your centre.
• Follow company policies, procedures and systems.
• Follow the emergency response plan.

Skills, Qualities and Experience

• Experience in the fitness industry.
• Health and Fitness related qualification. Must include a basic understanding of Anatomy and Physiology.
• Health and Safety.
• Good oral communication and interaction skills.
• Flexible approach to working hours including days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
