About the departmentIn the Department of Art we specialise in making, curating and writing about contemporary art in a dynamic, critical and interdisciplinary environment. About the roleThe post-holder is responsible for the implementation of timeline and video-based projects including support in post production software. To be responsible for maintaining audio/visual equipment loans and providing tuition on its usage. The post-holder will work on their own initiative in finding the right solution for any given video project. In this respect the post-holder is expected to regularly self-skill to keep abreast of changes in audio/visual technologies and to implement this skillset in accordance with the demands of Art based video practice.
About the CandidateThe ideal candidate has demonstrable experience delivering timeline and video-based projects, with a strong understanding of professional post-production workflows. They are confident supporting users with video production, editing, and media management, and can communicate technical concepts clearly to people with varying levels of experience.
They are comfortable working within 3D production pipelines and have practical experience using Blender to support creative projects, whether through modelling, animation, rendering, or asset preparation. They understand how 3D workflows integrate with video production and are confident troubleshooting and supporting others in this area.
The successful candidate is proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous professional development. They enjoy solving technical challenges, stay current with developments in audio/visual technologies, and are enthusiastic about supporting innovative, art-based creative practice.
