Therapy Assistant

Our trusted team members operate in more than 130 sites, ranging from residential care HIQA-registered facilities to post-acute rehabilitation centres. We also provide bespoke services in the acute private hospital setting and within clients' homes. Our team works seamlessly across multiple settings, including elective orthopaedic, post-acute rehabilitation, medical inpatients, musculoskeletal outpatient, and primary care services.
As a result of continued growth, we're looking to welcome a Therapy Assistant to our team in our Ennis, Co. Clare facility. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team where your contribution will have a real impact on patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Support therapists in delivering effective, patient centred care programmes
- Assist patients with daily living activities, mobility, and rehabilitation exercises
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patient care plans
- Prepare and maintain therapy areas and equipment
- Assist with both individual and group therapy sessions
- Monitor and report patient progress, concerns, or changes in condition
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment at all times
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and colleagues
- Adhere to all health & safety, infection control, and organisational policies
- QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, Nursing Studies, or similar
- Previous experience in a healthcare or care support setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- A compassionate, patient focused approach
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable following direction and working under supervision
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Experience supporting therapy or care programmes (desirable)
- Basic IT skills for record keeping
- Mentoring and support from experienced Senior and Clinical Specialist Physiotherapists
