Test, Service and Installation Engineer
Location: UK-based with international travel

We're looking for a hands-on Test, Service and Installation Engineer to support customers worldwide by testing, installing, and maintaining advanced fire testing instruments and associated software. This is a varied and dynamic role ideal for someone with strong electrical/mechanical skills and a proactive, customer-focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Testing & QA: Perform final inspections of instruments (electrical, mechanical, and software) prior to shipment
• Installation: Carry out on-site equipment installation and software setup (2-5 day visits)
• Training: Deliver end-user training on system operation and routine maintenance
• Servicing & Repairs: Provide planned maintenance, emergency support, and system upgrades (2-3 day visits)
• Technical Support: Offer remote troubleshooting and collaborate on acceptance testing and returns
• Travel: International travel required (approximately 25-50%)

Key Skills & Experience

• HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 2+ years' experience in electrical testing, service engineering, or installation roles
• Proficient with instrumentation systems, electrical wiring, and mechanical components
• Excellent communication skills with experience in customer-facing roles
• Full UK driving licence and valid passport essential
