Fohntech Group are looking for an experienced Test Pack Manager to join their team in Belgium.

The Test Pack Manager is responsible for the planning, preparation, execution, and closeout of piping test packs for pharmaceutical projects. This role ensures that all piping systems are tested, documented, and handed over in compliance with regulatory requirements, project specifications, and quality standards such as GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice). The position plays a key role in system turnover, working closely with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and compile piping test packs in line with P&IDs, isometrics, and line lists
  • Define system boundaries and ensure correct scope inclusion
  • Ensure all documentation (weld logs, material traceability, inspection records) is complete
  • Coordinate with construction teams to ensure systems are ready for testing
  • Plan and schedule pressure tests, flushing, cleaning, and drying activities
  • Supervise or oversee execution of hydrostatic/pneumatic tests
  • Ensure all activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and project QA/QC requirements
  • Interface with QA/QC to ensure inspections and sign-offs are completed
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for regulatory inspections
  • Support the Turnover Manager with completion dossiers and test pack turnover to commissioning
  • Track test pack status and generate progress reports
  • Ensure redline markups and as-built documentation are completed
  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams
  • Act as the focal point for all test pack-related queries
  • Support client inspections and walkthroughs
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5-10+ years of experience in piping systems within pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences projects
  • Strong knowledge of piping codes (e.g., ASME B31.3) and testing requirements
  • Experience with clean utilities (WFI, clean steam, process gases) preferred
  • Familiarity with turnover systems and tools (e.g.,PIMS, EIDA, BIM 360 software)
