On behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Test Manager for a 12 Month contract based inn Derby (3 days per week on-site).

The Role & Responsibilities:

The Test Manager will be responsible for end-to-end test management across the three enterprise systems, ensuring they are fully tested, secure, and fit for business use prior to go-live.

This is a hands-on Test Manager role, requiring both strategic coordination and detailed test execution. The role will operate within a Matrix-managed environment, working with a wide range of internal stakeholders, vendors, systems integrators, and third-party testing providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and manage the overall testing strategy across multiple enterprise systems (SaaS and on-prem).
• Operate effectively in a Matrix management model, influencing without direct authority.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of testing, including:
  • System Integration Testing (SIT)
  • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Regression testing
  • Performance and non-functional testing (as required)
• Coordinate third-party penetration testing, including planning, execution, defect management, and remediation tracking.
• Develop, review, and maintain:
  • Test plans
  • Test scripts
  • Test scenarios
  • Test reports and dashboards
• Manage test execution cycles, defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution tracking.
• Work closely with:
  • Business planners and supply chain teams
  • IT delivery teams
  • External vendors and systems integrators
  • Information Assurance and security teams

Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as a Test Manager on large, complex enterprise system implementations.
• Strong experience coordinating UAT with business users.
• Hands-on experience creating and managing test plans, scripts, and execution cycles.
• Experience working with third-party testing providers, including penetration testing.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience working in Matrix-managed and multi-vendor environments.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with supply chain, planning, ERP, or advanced planning & scheduling (APS) systems.
• Experience testing SaaS and on-premise systems within the same programme.
• Knowledge of aviation, manufacturing, or asset-heavy industries.
• Familiarity with Information Assurance or security testing processes.
