Test Manager

Project description

One of the biggest UK rail network companies operating with rail infrastructure and asset management has a need to develop and support enterprise-level information systems. Working with the project team to develop the Test Approach/Strategy/Plan, test scripts, testing and testing approvals for the solution.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with the product supply to develop Test Plan and Test Strategy, and test scripts to prove the business requirements for the overall solution that has been designed.
2. Lead engagement with the product supplier on testing and test assurance team.
3. Excellent communication skills as the face of the project, build effective relationships working with the team involved and our supplier.
4. Production of required test documentation and recording of issues found and monitoring their resolution through to closure.
5. Testing will include Backup/Restore and Failover/Fallback testing, as well as Functional and Non-functional testing.

SKILLS

Must have

• Ability to write Testing documentation (functional, non-functional & UAT) and work collaboratively with the project team.
• Must be comfortable working with suppliers and customers in challenging faults and their resolution.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Flexible in approach in creating an appropriate test approach and strategy.
