Job Description

Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust (L&G) are recruiting a Band 3 Temporary Staffing Coordinator. Candidates must possess extensive knowledge of flexible worker recruitment, engagement terms, and Agency Worker Regulations, alongside the capability to operate swiftly to deliver a comprehensive and high-quality Internal Bank Service.

Main duties of the job

Applicants must demonstrate substantial experience and a deep understanding of Temporary Worker engagement. Immediate involvement in all aspects of Temporary Staffing operational functions with minimal supervision is expected. Proficiency with Temporary Worker Booking and Worker Management Systems, including Optima, Bankstaff, and ESR, is essential.

The successful applicant will work flexibly within a large, skilled team of coordinators and administrators responsible for recruiting, managing, and coordinating over 4,000 bank and agency workers who support the Trust across all clinical and non-clinical areas. This role demands exceptional organizational skills and the ability to adapt rapidly.

Job responsibilities

To support with the provision of excellent patient centred care through the supply of high quality temporary workers with the appropriate professional skills, experience, attitudes and behaviour for the role they are undertaking.

Working in conjunction with other members of the team to ensure the smooth administration of the service, meeting the temporary staffing requirements of the Trust.

To administer bookings, invoices, timesheets and any other relevant administrative tasks efficiently and effectively

Person Specification Education Qualifications and training
  • Educated to GCSE level.
  • Significant experience working within a service provider/sales environment at a comparable level
  • NHS Acute Trust Experience
Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Previous experience of dealing with conflict and defusing difficult situations
  • Previous recruitment experience
  • Experienced in all areas of office administration
  • Experience of dealing with people both internal and external
  • Working as part of a team and act on own initiative
  • Preferably with the NHS
